26 MAR 2015: FMRS to participate in one-day meeting on 'Forest fires and floods’

FMRS will present the tools developing within the frame of the ΕΠΑΔΑΠ (NOFFi) project in a one-day workshop in Athens. In the workshop the tools and services developed in a number of national and international projects will be also presented. For the agenda of the workshop click below.

13 MARCH 2015: FMRS to give a seminar at the School of GeoSciences, University of Edinburgh

Ioannis Gitas will give a seminar on 'Remote Sensing of forest fires (focus on Mediterranean ecosystems)' at the School of GeoSciences, University of Edinburgh. The seminar is a part of the EEO-AGI(S) Series Programme 2014-15.

09 MARCH 2015: The ArcFUEL project was granted 'Best Life Environment project award'

FMRS participated in the ArcFUEL project that was recently selected as one of the 22 Best LIFE Environment projects for 2014. In addition, ArcFUEL is currently a candidate for the 5 "Best of the Best" LIFE Environment projects.

20 FEBRUARY 2015: FMRS undegraduate student to participate in ERASMUS+

Thanos Chatzakos who is doing his BSc Thesis at FMRS will be hosted by the Department of 'Geology, Geography and Natural Resources' of the University of Alcala (Spain) for the period 1 April - 30 June 2015. This short-term placement is supported by the ERASMUS+ project.
